Inclusive Investing

There is an enormous gap in the United States between those who aspire to invest and those participating in capital markets today. Now more than ever—and especially during times of economic uncertainty and market volatility—there’s a pressing need to ensure that the needs and aspirations of investors earning low-to-moderate incomes (LMI) are supported responsibly and with intention.

1 MM New Investors is a national initiative focused on driving meaningful, intentional action across the financial services industry to support aspiring investors with LMI. While capital markets have long been a pathway to building wealth, equitable access remains limited. Through partnerships, research, inclusive product design and messaging recommendations, thoughtful distribution strategies, and an advisory council of committed leaders, we’re ensuring that investment opportunities are created with—and for—people earning LMI, so their needs and aspirations are truly reflected in the solutions available to them.

Closing the Interest vs. Action Gap.

Research shows that a sizable portion of the LMI populations wants to invest but has not started due to systemic barriers.

Our 1MM New Investors initiative is supporting aspiring investors through responsible and intentional supply-side action—serving customers with LMI on their investing journey.
