On September 29th, the Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association’s (DCIIA) Retirement Research Center (RRC) hosted a webinar on the impact of coronavirus on defined contribution participants and plan sponsors. RRC’s Executive Director, Warren Cormier, cited our joint research, including a key finding that low- to moderate-income plan participants who have saved for emergencies during the pandemic are half as likely to take a hardship withdrawal or 401(k) loan.
