Stephanie Epps
Senior Innovation Manager
Stephanie Epps is a Senior Innovation Manager at Commonwealth working on a myriad of projects within Benefits for the Future and Emergency Savings Initiative. With over 15 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, she specializes in project management, leadership development, partner stewardship and change management focused on operationalization and equity. Her work is deeply rooted in addressing workplace and systemic inequities as well as community advocacy. Prior to Commonwealth, Stephanie’s focus was nonprofit management including strategy, program design and execution, organizational stability and scale, and impact/data oversight as well as DEIB consulting. She has worked toward economic equity through workforce development and educational advancement for systemically marginalized communities. Stephanie holds a BA in Comparative Studies in Race & Ethnicity from Stanford University and is an alum of Management Leadership for Tomorrow, RevJen and Black Women in NonProfit Leadership, the latter in which she created a TED-style Talk and co-authored a book—I Said What I Said. She enjoys activities such as listening to music, binging nostalgic television, cooking/eating, caretaking within her network and traveling to visit family, friends and interesting places.
