Katia Diaz

Innovation Manager

Katia Diaz is an Innovation Manager at Commonwealth. She conducts market and funding research, coordinates communications content, and supports the organization on pre-award grant applications. She has over five years of experience across the public, private, and social sectors within communications and policy research disciplines. Working at notable organizations, Katia has held previous roles at The White House, the New Jersey State Legislature, and the New York City Department of Health. Prior to joining Commonwealth, Katia worked at The Rockefeller Foundation as a Communications Associate serving as a liaison between employees and programmatic efforts. She is a published researcher on education policy issues in Latin America with experience abroad as a 2019 U.S. Fulbright Scholar. Her research interests include disability rights, socio-economic gaps, and racial discrimination. Katia received her Masters of Arts in Global Studies from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Arts & Sciences and a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism & Public Relations from Seton Hall University.
