Senior Innovation Manager

Jay Torres Almodovar is a Senior Innovation Manager at Commonwealth, where she leads innovation, research, partnership initiatives, and cross-functional project management focused on advancing financial security and opportunity for people living on low to moderate incomes. Her work centers on supporting financial workplace benefits as a core component of employee wellness, engagement, and long-term economic stability.

She brings over a decade of experience across nonprofit and government organizations, with a background in organizational strategy, employee engagement, and systems change. Throughout her career, she has partnered closely with finance teams to support strategic planning, budget alignment, and the long-term financial sustainability of mission-driven organizations.

Previously, she served as the Director of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Engagement at the Denver Public Library, where she was a member of the executive leadership team and led organization-wide equity and engagement initiatives in service of the public.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Bowling Green State University, with an academic focus on policy, economics, law, and social systems. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new cities, discovering great food, staying active through movement and wellness practices, and spending quality time with loved ones.
