Alana Baray

Director

Alana Baray is a Director at Commonwealth where she focuses on building and scaling solutions for the financially underserved through strategic partnerships, research, and leading teams toward impactful execution. Alana has extensive experience helping the private and public sector integrate socially conscious policies and programs into everyday business. Prior to joining Commonwealth, Alana was the Director for Inclusive Growth at the Greater Washington Partnership where she worked with a coalition of 30+ companies to implement inclusive and equitable business strategies. As a former international development consultant, she also helped governments and companies in the U.S. and abroad set inclusive economic development strategies through policy and private sector reform. Alana has an MA in International Relations from Tufts Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a BA in Sociology from Boston College. Beyond work, Alana loves to get out from behind the desk and go camping, travel to new places, or go salsa dancing with friends.
