Commonwealth Joins Call for a Presidential Financial Inclusion Strategy

Commonwealth is proud to join a diverse coalition of nearly 40 financial institutions, nonprofit organizations, racial equity advocacy organizations, and government offices in signing a letter calling for a Presidential Financial Inclusion Commission. By creating a Commission, the United States would be joining more than 50 countries who now have national financial inclusion strategies, in line with the G20’s Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion. A Presidential Commission will bring together diverse experts across the public and private sectors, including federal agencies, financial service providers, and community-based organizations, to establish a shared vision for an inclusive and sustainable economy. A Commission will create a cohesive approach to financial inclusion that strengthens the country’s public financial health and the economy, and supports our mission to build financial security and opportunity for people living on lower incomes and make wealth possible for all.
