Tim Flacke Speaks at Senate Committee on Aging

Last week, Commonwealth Executive Director Tim Flacke was in Washington, D.C. to speak at a Senate Special Committee on Aging hearing, titled “Closing the Gap: Innovations to Promote Americans' Financial Security.” Tim was part of a group of witnesses, including representatives from Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies, HelloWallet, and Blue Ridge Bank, the only bank in the U.S. currently offering a Prize-Linked Savings Product.

At the hearing, Tim discussed various Commonwealth innovations such as Financial Entertainment and Prize-Linked Savings, as well as the work we have done to preserve Savings Bonds and modernize them for the 21st century. Visit the Senate Committee on Aging website to learn more about the event and read Tim's written testimony, and watch a recording of the hearing.
